Tested to meet our high standards, and yours. Old world rabbeted pair casements also add to the charm of this traditional window. Truly one of the best. Offered as crank out, inswing or push out (with butt hinges or friction hinges).

Frame
  • 4-9/16″ jamb (see #1 on diagram)

  • Sill pans to protect against moisture intrusion (see #7 on diagram)

Sash
  • Sash is a full 1-3/8″ thick, solid VG Douglas Fir (see #3 on diagram)
    • additional sash thicknesses available
  • Standard layout: 2” stiles and top rail on face (does not include detail), 3-1/8” bottom rail on face (does not include detail)*
    • custom layouts available
    • *Standard layout on SDL units with OGEE detail:  1-13/16” stiles and top rail on face (2-5/16″ overall), 2-15/16” bottom rail on face (3-7/16″ overall)
Glass
  • Shown on diagram (#4) in single glazed, 11/16″ insulated Solarban® 70 with Argon gas standard – other glass options available
Screens
  • Aluminum screens standard with UltraVue® screen mesh
    • Hidden roll screen available. Rolls down when you need it, rolls up when you don’t (certain widths and wall conditions required)
    • Wood Screen available
    • Copper mesh available
Weatherproofing
  • Completely weatherstripped with bulb weatherseal to form a double weatherstripped system for added performance (see #2 on diagram)
    • Available in black, white or brown

Hardware
  • Units can be Friction Hinged or Butt Hinged
    • Friction hinges allow sash to open a full 90 degrees and hold sash firmly in place whether fully or partially opened
    • Butt hinges allow sash to up to  as much as 180 degrees
      • As a standard, we use 3.5 x 3.5 Steel Plain Bearing 1/4″ Radius Corner Mortise Non-Removable Pin Hinges (RC1541-NRP) available in several finishes
  • Casement Fasteners
    • Standard – large casement fastener (#66)
    • Optional – small casement fastener (#066)
      • Several finishes available
    • 2 latches per sash on casements 42″ tall and up
  • 4″ Surface Bolts (top & bottom) standard on Rabbeted Casements
