A sliding door adds warmth to a room and becomes a natural focal point. It also frees up floor space where a swinging door isn’t practical.

Cobb Custom wood sliding doors are available as both interior and exterior doors, in French, single lite, raised panel, or flat panel styles.

Each door is made to measure, built to fit your exact opening rather than a standard size off the shelf.

Hoppe 2-Point locking hardware comes standard on every jamb, and our sliding doors are also Title 24 tested.

Additional Info/Options

2 Panel Sliding Door (XO)

Sliding wood doors are beautiful yet very practical where space is a concern.

Custom 4 Panel Sliding Door (OXXO)

2 Panel and 4 Panel Sliding Door Configurations

Cobb Custom sliding doors come in two standard configurations, each built on a 5-3/8″ frame.

  • 2 Panel (XO/OX): one fixed panel, one operable panel that slides open
  • 4 Panel (OXXO): two fixed outer panels, two operable center panels that slide open

A 2 panel configuration works well where space is limited but you still want a wide opening.

A 4 panel configuration suits larger openings, giving a wall of glass with more of it able to open at once.

Both configurations use a solid oak sill as standard, with aluminum sills available as an alternative.

Exterior trim is required to hold the screen door in place. For a cleaner look, a “bald” moulding option keeps the frame nearly invisible from outside.

Made to Measure Sliding Doors

Cobb Custom made-to-measure sliding doors are sized and styled for your specific opening. That same attention to detail and craftsmanship is behind every door we’ve built for over 85 years.

Door panels start with an Engineered Wood Core Fir Veneer as standard:

  • Other veneer species available
  • Solid wood and LVL veneer also available, must be specified
  • Pre-priming and wire brushing available

Standard doors are 1-3/4″ thick, with additional thicknesses and custom layouts available beyond the standard stile and rail dimensions.

Because sizing and layout are built around your opening, our made-to-measure sliding doors fit spaces a stock size can’t.
